From what I can tell, they are relatively new to the US market and nobody around here has heard of them, so before I buy one (yes I'll demo it too) I'd like some input from those who have seen one in the wild ...
The problem is that I want OBD 1 coverage AND ABS / airbag, something that the average sub 400.00 scan tool wont do ... Some one says DS708 is disappointing in the coverage of older vehicles - it works on none of old Japanese plugs - Toyota , Mazda, Nissan, the only OBDI it works on is Honda, it's useless on the rest. But does Mercedes and BMW.
Some days later, I had the MaxiDas unit on demo from the diyobd2. I can say that I'll likely opt not to buy it. One of the big reasons for me buying a tool of this caliber is to be able to use it on the wife's OBD I car and access her ABS and airbag info. This unit will not communicate with OBD I in site of the fact that it comes with the GM 12 pin connector. Also noticed some (simple) spelling errors (like engein instead of engine). Not sure why that bugs me but it does. I plugged it into an 03 Olds Alero and was pleasantly surprised at it's level of accessibility. I could reprogram key fobs, reset trans adaptives, do CKP variation relearns and command several relays and widgets for testing purposes. Also had access to all live data in the BCM, SRS and ABS.
The Snap-On rep stopped by this week and made a smoking deal on a China site. It's supposed to be faster than previous offerings and still be quite capable.
I got the Autel DS708 unit this Monday. I have to say how lucky i am can get it with the best price (€ 699). It's said that DS708 has been stopped production and now at sales in China. I am sure it is original one as before for i have taken it to the local shop to verify. So now, if anyone has specific questions concerning it, feel free to ask.

No matter which chip was selected, the OEM Orange5 always popped up “Error Load HPL file”. And diyodb2 engineers provided their opinions here to help you out.
Symptom display:
Select group1-> 03-carradio-> blaupunkt-> gamma m237
Then Error Load HPL file gamma.hpl
Select group1-> 03-carradio-> blaupunkt-> smartcard
Then Error Load HPL file BlauCard.hpx
Cause: Error open file
Select group1-> 03-carradio-> blaupunkt-> mmc keycard
Then Error Load HPL file BlauMMC.hpx
Cause: Error open file

Any chip selected resulted the same error.

1- Free download Orange5 V1.34 software clone:

2- Copy the OEM Orange 5 software to the computer local disk
3- Disable or uninstall anti-virus software on PC
4- Install Orange5 V1.34 on Windows XP/ WIN7/ WIN8
NOTE: all above is only for Orange 5 programmer clone
No so expensive and have BGA password calculation
Vvdi MB BGA Tool product no so expensive why not ask mi and nec prog 57 and Diagsped lower price with price between 100 and 200 euro 6000 minimum calculation Eurp password.
When this tool comes out with accepted price all ask about free password calculation

Sure it can do all key lost on w212 as the same as Mehaco / nec pro51 / mercedesinstrument, but cheaper.
Vvdi MB BGA Tool Xhorse not what works:
W204 and w212 eis are different. Yea on fbs4 nothing can be made. But 2010 w212 is fbs3 .. so all keys lost sure is posible on this model..W204 facelift has fbs4 and it comes without esl / elv so another way to distinguish it.
Parts of 2014 & Mostly model of 2015 (and after 2015) is FBS4, currently can not support FBS4 type.
User can Auto detect the EIS.if can detect the type but can not read the EIS data, should be FBS4.
I use VVDI MB BGA tool test read data with obd2 210 k line working and 204 car read with obd 2 but 211 not read with obd2.

Solution:
read eis via obd for W164, W169, W211, W209, require gateway connected, I mean read while EZS is connected to the car, If you test on bench, also need to connect gateway.
Considering I can not ask customer or mechanic to send me also gateway for make a keys, in many cases MB owner send us the eis.
You can read old EIS Motorola type by K line only but not obd like 208 209 210 211 and 220 using vvdi.

If you recently got an "SRS Airbag Service Urgent" warning light and would like to get it reset, this guide might be helpful. Here I used VIDA 2014A clone with a Dice brought the 2,003th Volvo S60 AWD from Diyobd2 and did it on my 2.5T.
Disclaimer: This is how I did my car so it may be different from other and now I am sharing my knowledge to you. The modification, if carried out is of responsibility of you.
System requirement:
Preparation:
First install the Volvo Vida Dice 2014A software. Follow this video to install it:
Connect your Dice to VIDA and your car.
Click on Vehicle Profile and under "Communication tools" select your Dice to "Read your car".
Steps to reset "SRS Airbag Service Urgent" warning light:
-First Open up the software and go to Fault Trace.
-Then Delivery tab.
-Scroll Down and click "READ ALL" to get all your error code. (Get all error code check first)
-After Error code get checked click on "ERASE ALL" to clear all code.
